Is this blockchain?
No. NxChain keeps what makes a ledger valuable: secured records, complete history, and independent verification. It drops the validators, consensus, and permanent connectivity that made blockchain unusable in defence.
Does it replace our database?
No, it is complementary. NxChain can feed a database (records inserted and kept in sync), or a database can feed an NxChain (every transaction replicated onto the chain), adding proof and audit to an existing production database. It can also synchronise two otherwise incompatible databases over unreliable connections.
Who holds our data?
You do. Each record is created and held at its origin, and every act of sharing is a decision by the data owner, enforced by policy. Data does not leave your control without that decision. It is not sent to a cloud or any third-party provider, and Nexsys has no access or visibility to it.
Does it need network connectivity?
No. NxChain runs fully offline by default, and is built for classified and federated mission networks. Sharing is optional; when a link returns, systems reconcile automatically, including large files over DDIL (Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited) connections.
