2. What we collect and why

This website is designed to collect as little personal data as possible and to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by design. The following subsections describe each category of data processed, its purpose, legal basis, and retention period.

2.1 Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you visit any page, Netlify's content delivery network automatically processes your IP address, the requested URL, the referring URL, the timestamp of the request, and your browser's user-agent string. This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website to your browser.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and delivering the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: server logs are retained by Netlify for up to 30 days and then deleted.

2.2 Web analytics

The website uses Netlify Web Analytics, a server-side, cookieless analytics service. It records aggregate statistics such as page views, unique visitor counts, referrers, top locations by page view count, and bandwidth usage. Analytics data is derived from server-side request logs; no client-side tracking script is loaded, no cookies are set, and no individual visitor profiles are created.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: only aggregate, non-personal statistics are retained. The underlying server logs from which they are derived are subject to the retention period stated in section 2.1.

2.3 Contact form

When you submit the contact form, the following personal data is collected: your name, organisation, email address, and message. This data is stored by Netlify Forms and is used solely to respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and taking steps at your request prior to a potential engagement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Retention: contact form submissions are retained for 30 days and then deleted. They are never repurposed for marketing.

3. No cookies, tracking, or third-party embeds

This website does not set any advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking is performed. The website does not embed any cookie-setting third-party content such as maps, video players, reCAPTCHA, or social media widgets. Because no non-essential cookies are set, no cookie-consent banner is required or shown.

4. Hosting and sub-processors

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Netlify acts as a data processor on behalf of Nexsys S.à r.l. and processes data as described in sections 2.1–2.3 above. Netlify serves pages through a global content delivery network with edge nodes in the European Union and other regions.

No other sub-processors are engaged for this website. No third-party marketing, advertising, or social media services are used.

5. International data transfers

Netlify is a US-based company. Personal data processed through this website (including server logs and contact form submissions) may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

These transfers are protected by the following safeguards:

  • Netlify is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU–U.S. DPF, and the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as enforced by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
  • Where required, transfers are additionally covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as adopted by the European Commission.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to the personal data we process about you:

  • Access (Art. 15) — obtain confirmation of whether your data is being processed and request a copy.
  • Rectification (Art. 16) — request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17) — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18) — request that processing be limited under certain conditions.
  • Data portability (Art. 20) — receive the data you have provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection (Art. 21) — object to processing based on legitimate interest. We will cease processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

Nexsys S.à r.l. applies reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This website is not directed at individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
